Versilia Society ("we", "us", "our") is a luxury digital concierge platform for the Versilia coast of Tuscany, Italy. We help visitors discover the finest restaurants, beach clubs, nightlife, activities and experiences in Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio, Pietrasanta and surrounding areas.

Account information

• Name and email address when you create an account
• Profile preferences and interests you provide during onboarding
• Authentication data when you sign in with Google or Apple

Usage data

• Venues and events you save as favourites
• Itineraries you create
• Concierge requests you submit
• Search queries within the app

Device data

• Location data (only when you grant permission, used to show nearby venues)
• Device type and browser information for performance optimisation
• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

• Personalise venue and event recommendations based on your interests
• Enable account features: saved favourites, itineraries, concierge history
• Send you event alerts and notifications (only if you opt in)
• Improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
• Respond to concierge and support requests
• Marketing communications about Versilia experiences — only if you have explicitly consented

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase — Authentication and database (EU servers)
• OpenAI — AI concierge responses (your chat messages are processed by OpenAI to generate travel recommendations)
• Google Maps & Places — Venue locations and mapping
• Foursquare — Venue tips and reviews
• Vercel — Hosting and content delivery
• Apple APNs — Push notification delivery
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Firecrawl — Venue data enrichment / web content retrieval
• PostHog — Privacy-friendly product analytics and error monitoring (EU servers). We use it to understand which features are used and to detect crashes. It is first-party analytics only — we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not run advertising.

AI services (OpenAI) receive your chat messages and general location context to generate travel recommendations. Your name, email, and identity are not shared with AI providers. You may opt out of the AI concierge at any time by simply not using it.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing

We use browser local storage to save your language preference, onboarding completion status and interest preferences, and session cookies for authentication. We use first-party product analytics (PostHog) to understand feature usage and detect errors; this is not used for advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Your password is never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard security practices and conduct regular security reviews.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of Versilia Society after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This document is provided in multiple languages for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.
