Forte dei Marmi's beach clubs are among the most celebrated on the Italian riviera — a blend of old-money discretion and modern glamour that no other coastline quite replicates.
The classics remain unmissable. Twiga Beach Club — co-owned by Flavio Briatore — draws celebrities and socialites to its private cabanas, heated pool, and rooftop bar. Book a full-day sunbed package in advance; walk-ins are essentially impossible in July and August.
For a slightly more laid-back but still impeccable experience, Bagno Sirena has served Forte families for three generations. The staff know regulars by name, the fish is grilled to order each afternoon, and the aperitivo hour on the veranda is genuinely special.
La Capannina di Franceschi is Forte's oldest beach establishment — open since 1929, still family-run, its wooden changing cabins and garden restaurant unchanged in the best possible way. A rite of passage for any serious Versilia visitor.
