In a world that asks us to always be perfect, efficient, and up-to-date, lying has become an act of survival. White lies are the cement of our social life. They are our shield, our passport to avoid uncomfortable and unpleasant situations. We all tell them, and they can be divided into two large groups: The 'good' lies You go to eat at the house of your newly met mother-in-law, but the lasagna is terrible. When asked 'how is the lasagna?' the inevitable answer will be: 'Delicious!' And the 'less good' lies Your mom's second cousin (whom you've only seen once) invites you to her wedding on August 10 at noon in Basilicata and tells you a year in advance. Inevitably, that day you will have an unavoidable commitment, an illness, a sudden catastrophe that will prevent you from being there. The news will reach the bride shortly before the wedding with a dramatic phone call. A thin voice full of sadness will inform her that you will not be able to attend the unmissable ceremony for one of the aforementioned reasons. This show is a comedic immersion into the world of the small, necessary, gigantic daily lies that we all tell. A celebration of the sublime art of lying for pure self-defense.
