Aldo Cazzullo and Angelo Branduardi tell the story of the saint, or rather the stories. The Saint Francis of devotion: the wolf, the sermon to the birds, the stigmata. The Saint Francis of history: the conversion, the stripping, the relationship with the Pope, the birth of the order, the crusade, the meeting with the sultan.
